  1. I will never forget my first public perfomance.I was 6 when it’d happened. It was a concert of my Kinder Garden. As my skills in kalmyk language were the best among other children, i was chosen as presenter(host) of this perfomance.I was given 2 or 3 sheet of papers(A4) with the written scenario in kalmyk of course and one song also in kalmyk. And i was to learn it by heart.I dont know how could i able to do it…but still..As i remember, i felt so confident being on the stage and did my work brilliantly, may be because of my mother’s and sister’s presence there. And now i think i haven’t guts to perfom smth publicly.I am very thankful to the life to have such an unforgettable day in my life!

  2. I agree with Sasha, that our nearest and dearest help us to feel good. And good for you Sash, that you could cope with its task. I think it’s quite difficult.

  3. I was 10 years old when my first performance took place. It was in the summer camp and I was obliged to go on the stage and make people laugh their heads off or at least not to make them bored to death. I decided to sing a song….. that was really hilarious. Feeling completely apprehensive and insecure I didn’t see that coming, I was thinking about failure and was ready to burst out crying, but to my surprise people liked it. Telling this story I can still feel a sense of dread and horror, the first performance is always a perturbing moment that really makes you scared stiff.

  4. I was getting nervous too much before my performance, because it was my first one!!! There were three of us. At that moment i didn’t know that there were a lot of people in the hall and when we went to the stage to start singing, we were scared. All of a sudden i forget all my lines, and i ran away!!!!! My teacher was so cross!!!! This performance was the worst experience of all my life!!!!!

  5. I used to perform often when I was a schoolgirl. I was 6. I was to read a poem at homecoming. I can’t say that i was nervous. I remember that it was terribly cold (February 1997) and the Hall was large and there were loads of people. I did my work not bad. For me it is easier to perform in front of people you don’t know

    • I am absolutely agree with Nyudlya. for me it’s also much easier to perform in front of people you don’t know. though, sometimes, when you perform and see in the audience a happy supporting face of your friend, it gives you something like a extra rower, extra self-confidence.

  6. It was my the first perform when i was ten years old. We were told that we should sing my two classmates and me were out of words. When i was standing behind the curtains i understood that i totally forgot my lines and i tried to remember the song like mad. I was nearly crying when it was time to go on the stage . There were a lot of prople in the hall staring at us. But i couldn’t remember the lines and i ran away from the stage. I left my girls and went off. I was in shoked. I never forget it!!!
